Park Hyatt Sets Spring 2027 for Its Mexico City Return, 30 Storeys Above Campos Elíseos
Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos has unveiled the design for Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco: 155 rooms, 38 suites and a contemporary Mexican art collection assembled by Arte Abierto, overlooking Chapultepec Park.
Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco will take its first guests in spring 2027, with interiors and architecture by Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos, the Mexican practice founded in 1937 and now run by its third generation.
The hotel rises 30 storeys above Campos Elíseos, in Polanco's gallery and boutique quarter, and looks out over Chapultepec Park, one of the largest urban green spaces anywhere and among the oldest in the Americas. The brief calls for uninterrupted views of the forested canopy from nearly every part of the property.
There will be 155 guestrooms and 38 suites, among them a two-bedroom Presidential Suite. Four indoor and outdoor dining venues are planned: a specialty restaurant, an all-day room, a modern Mexican concept and cocktail bars. Wellness runs to a rooftop pool and the full-service Tezca Spa, and there is more than 8,500 sq ft of meeting and event space, including a ballroom and an open-air terrace for receptions.
The art programme is the organising idea. Arte Abierto, the nonprofit founded by SOMA, has selected contemporary Mexican works threaded through the public rooms, with Damián Ortega and Michelle Aubert among the artists named.
The opening follows Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol, with Park Hyatt Riviera Maya to come.
